De typische teambuilding is leuk en ontspannend, maar toch telkens meer van hetzelfde. Ga je na zo’n klassieke teambuilding beter samenwerken als team? Vermoedelijk niet. Hoeveel inspirerender zou het zijn om je op een teambuilding professioneel te laten begeleiden door mensen met bakken mensenkennis en coaching ervaring?

Absentéisme et mauvaises performances au travail vont souvent de pair, et cette association coûte très cher aux entreprises. Pourquoi ? Parce que de mauvaises performances font chuter la productivité et risquent de conduire à une réduction du personnel et à une ambiance morose. Les employés démotivés et sous-performants ne perçoivent pas l’utilité de leur fonction dans l’entreprise et sont dès lors plus susceptibles de s’absenter de temps à autre. Si les stratégies de recrutement ne permettent pas de limiter ou d’éviter totalement ces problèmes, choisir des collaborateurs présentant certains traits de caractère pourrait cependant faire pencher la balance en faveur d'une situation plus satisfaisante et favoriser une meilleure atmosphère de travail.

Absenteeism and poor work performance often go hand in hand and cost organisations a lot of money. Why? Because poor work performance reduces productivity, potentially leading to downsizing and low morale. Demotivated and underperforming employees do not see much value in their own roles in the organisation and are consequently more likely to skip work occasionally. Personnel selection strategies cannot prevent or mitigate such problems completely, but selecting people with a good set of personality characteristics could at least tip the scales towards a more favourable situation and foster a more positive working atmosphere.

At this point, many readers will probably say to themselves, “Oh, I’ve definitely checked that box”, and start looking for a more relevant article.
