“Vuca, new normal, disruptive, new order” – these concepts surely do ring a bell. All concepts imply something abrupt and are often linked to a fresh start. However… change is not as abrupt as expected. It knocks on your door and quickly makes its way into the room. Our new foe and friend becomes Speed.

With continuing globalisation, it is no surprise that today’s society is becoming increasingly diverse. This change can be clearly observed on the labour market, where encountering an applicant from a different cultural background is no longer an exception. Consequently, we cannot underestimate the importance of ensuring that ethnic minorities are given a fair chance in selection processes. At this point, many readers will probably say to themselves, “Oh, I’ve definitely checked that box”, and start looking for a more relevant article. But maybe things are not as straightforward as they think…
