Salary Survey Medical sector

The Salary Survey within the medical sector is an initiative of Hudson in order to provide hospitals in Belgium insight into the current remuneration practices on the Belgian market. The results of this survey will give hospitals a hold on the process of adapting and developing a competitive and motivating remuneration package for board, management and staff members.


  • Target group: This survey addresses general and university hospitals in Belgium.
  • Reference functions: 20 reference functions on board, management and staff level are questioned.
  • Remuneration elements: The survey enquires about the following elements:
    • Per function the level of:
      • base salary,
      • variable pay,
      • and extralegal benefits (such as company cars, luncheon vouchers and net allowances).

    • Elements of the remuneration policy such as:
      • system of salary increases,
      • variable pay systems,
      • how does the hospital deal with mobility,
      • and the new way of working, occurrence extralegal benefits and insured benefits.

    • Preparation: January – February 2013
    • Collecting data: March 2013
    • Processing data: March 2013 – April 2013
    • Presentation of the results: May 2013
